Position Title: Product Engineer II
Location: New Brighton, MN
Employment Type: Full-Time, Long Term Contract
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $38-44 per hour, depending on experience
Overview:
A growing medical technology company in the Minneapolis area is looking for a Product Engineer II to support existing medical products and help bring new designs into production. This role plays a critical part in improving manufacturing processes, enhancing product quality, and ensuring production readiness of innovative healthcare devices.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support engineering projects that improve current products and sustain manufacturing success
Drive process development and design transfer activities for new product introductions
Create, revise, and validate manufacturing documentation and work instructions
Train production team members on updated processes and quality procedures
Support quality-related activities, including nonconforming material reports and root cause analysis
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, quality, and production
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions
Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements
Monitor and report on key engineering performance metrics
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
2+ years of relevant experience in product engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related roles
Experience working within a quality-controlled or regulated industry (medical device industry preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio, Project, etc.)
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
Working knowledge of quality management systems, process validation, and documentation standards
Detail-oriented, organized, and driven to solve problems and improve systems
